Week 5, Day 5: Judging

“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” -Mother Teresa of Calcutta

I was just thinking about judging people. Yeah, I've actually done that before... and maybe WAY more than I would like to admit. I love this quote because it makes me wonder how I could possibly say that I love my fellowmen if I am also trying to judge them.

 

Tonight I had a very hearty conversation with a good friend, and this kept coming to my mind because of a few of the topics of conversation. I love sweet Mother Teresa who truly lived the essence of this quote. I'd like to say, "that's it! I am not going to judge anymore." How great if I could do it just like that! I know that overcoming my judgemental attitude will be a process, but I know Who I can turn to. He, the Perfect Savior, knew perfectly how to bridle his tongue and refrain from judging. How I love Christ and His perfect example.
