Week 2, Day 6: Purity is unpopular?

Be virtuous and pure; be men of integrity and truth; keep the commandments of God; and then you will be able more perfectly to understand the difference between right and wrong—between the things of God and the things of men; and your path will be like that of the just, which shineth brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.
- Joseph Smith
Tonight, I wanted to watch a movie. After surfing some channels, we decided to watch  A Very Brady Movie, or something like that. It's about the Brady Bunch characters acting just like they did in the 70's, but they now live in our day. It was completely disheartening to see how everyone around them made fun of the Brady family's innocence when compared to the now high school scene. It was an interesting commentary on our society now. Innocence is funny, but not in a good way, and strange. People didn't know what to do with them.

Then my momma read the above quote and it made me happy. The world would teach us that being good = old-fashioned and a thing to mock. But good will win and virtue, purity, integrity and truth will win. How grateful I am to have this understanding!

See? It's cool to be clean. Groovy. :)
